Why Aphora Uses Tremella
Tremella is a botanical mushroom extract valued in cosmetic formulation for water-binding properties — designed to support a soft, plump skin feel.
Tremella fuciformis — the white jelly mushroom — has been part of East Asian beauty culture for centuries. In cosmetic formulation, Tremella is valued for its water-binding capacity, which is what gives Aphora's hydration-led products their soft, plump finish. Tremella is not equivalent to injectable hyaluronic acid and we don't make medical claims about it — we use it because it supports the cosmetic experience of hydrated, comfortable-feeling skin.
